Ask Your MP to Speak in Debate on Support for Children with Life-limiting Conditions

24 January 2019

Together for Short Lives are asking people to write to their MPs to ask them to speak in a forthcoming debate on support for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families. The meeting will take place at 9:30am on Tuesday 29 January 2019 in Westminster Hall.

This debate is an important opportunity for MPs to ask ministers what steps they are taking to improve outcomes for children and families - and to make sure that they are able to access sustainable children’s palliative care services in hospital, children’s hospices and the community. It is also a vital chance for MPs to ask the government what action it is taking to implement the recommendations made by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Children Who Need Palliative Care, which published its inquiry report on the end of life care choice commitment for children in October.
