'Give it Back' Campaign launched by DCP
03 June 2019
The Disabled Children's Partnership (DCP), a coalition of more than 60 organisations, are campaigning for improved health and social care for disabled children, young people and their families, in England.
Today sees the launch of 'Give it Back' - a new campaign to encourage the Government to fill the £434million gap in social care funding for disabled children in England through the upcoming Spending Review. This figure includes the gap in local authority funding for short breaks for respite for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
The campaign is designed to put pressure on ministers to address this disparity in social care funding.
There are many ways to get involved in supporting the 'Give it Back' campaign, more of which you can find out about here.
The DCP are also asking members of the public to sign an open letter to the Chancellor of the Exchequer which has been written by Vickey, a parent of a disabled child. Read and sign the letter, here.
