Priority Group 6 Vaccine Rollout - Write to your GP

15 February 2021

If you are in priority group 6 and haven’t been contacted yet, you may want to write to your GP to make sure they know who from your home needs vaccinating and that you are keen for your vaccinations as soon as possible. This means there is a record of your request.

We suggest you use the following information and how it applies to you in your letter:

On February 11th, it was announced that the covid vaccination rollout is starting for adults in priority group 6. This includes:

  • An adult who has a muscle wasting condition, including Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
  • An adult carer of a child / adult, who receives a carer’s allowance
  • The main carer of a child / adult who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and is a disabled person, whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill

Adults classed as ‘clinically extremely vulnerable’ should already have received their vaccine under priority group 4.

You can find further information about the vaccine and the rollout programme, here.
