Quicksilver Media Looking For Families Accessing Spinraza To Take Part In Documentary

25 September 2019

Quicksilver media are currently making a documentary about the possible implications for drug budgets of any UK-US trade deal, for Channel 4's Dispatches strand, and are looking for families with children who have recently (within the last 4 months) started treatment with SpinrazaTM / nusinersen.

What they say:

"Quicksilver Media is an award-winning production company that makes world-class current affairs films for the BBC and Channel 4 in the UK. In the last few years our films and journalism have won many awards – including four Emmys, three Royal Television Society awards and two BAFTAs. As well as British broadcasters, we have produced films for Netflix, PBS and HBO. We are currently making a documentary about the possible implications for drug budgets of any UK-US trade deal, for Channel 4's Dispatches strand.

It is vitally important that we show the impact that policies have on the lives of people around the UK, therefore we are looking for members of the public to participate in our film.

In particular, we are looking for families with children who have recently (within the last 4 months) started treatment with Spinraza / Nusinersen.

At this stage we anticipate two sessions of approx 2 hours each, although we will be led by participants regarding the exact filming schedule. The welfare of the child that we're filming will be of the upmost importance to our team, who are professionals with years of experience filming in sensitive situations.

If you are interested in taking part or would like more information, please contact me at ed.hancox@qsmedia.tv or 07928 472443."
