Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK Appoints New CEO

SMA UK is pleased to announce that Angela Smith-Morgan will be joining the charity as CEO from
26th April. Angela brings with her a wealth of experience having been CEO of Leukaemia UK, where she spearheaded their efforts to support innovative research and the care of families affected by blood cancers. Angela has had a range of roles in the business sector and is a volunteer Enterprise Adviser for Willow Dene School, and Trustee of Number Champions charity. In her spare time, Angela enjoys growing vegetables and improving her baking skills.
Angela says, “I am delighted and excited to be joining SMA UK and am particularly looking forward to getting to know the diverse SMA Community and hearing your views. I’m also excited to be working with a great team, who have been working alongside the SMA Community for over 35 years. Together we will continue to build a wide range of support services while advocating for access to the best care, support and drug treatments for all of those affected by SMA.”
