Survey from the British Paediatric Neurology Association

The BPNA are asking us to share their survey so they can gain your valued views about the input of hospital doctors, specifically paediatric neurologists, who may be involved in providing medical care for your child. Paediatric Neurologists are specialist doctors who care for children with a range of neurological conditions which affect the brain, nerves, muscles and spinal cord; this includes neuromuscular 
conditions such as SMA. 

The BPNA are concerned there may be pressure to the reduce the length and depth of training that paediatric neurologists receive, and what effect this may have going forwards.

It is important that the views of children, young people and their carers are taken into account when making decisions about the services that are provided. Therefore, the BPNA will use the results of the survey to identify how important parents and carers of children with neurological disorders feel it is to have access to paediatric neurologists with highly specialist training, and would be very grateful for your views.
