Make Contact With Others
You may be an adult or young person* with SMA, a parent, or a grandparent of a someone who has SMA. You may be newly diagnosed, many years "down the line", or bereaved by SMA. We hope there is something for you here.
*If you are under 18 years old, you will need your parent / guardian's permission.
The Adult Insight Group (AIG)
This Facebook group gives adults with SMA the chance to share questions and experiences on any part of life. You can find out more about the group and join here.
Young Adults (18-25) Network
If you’re a teenager or young adult thinking about what to do next, or you’d like to hear how other young people have managed a particular challenge, you may find it helpful to have contact with others in our Young Adults Network.
SMA UK Events
If you're interested in meeting up with others affected by SMA, we organise a small number of events. These range from family-fun days to information & support weekends.
Ask A Question
People often ask us "What do other people do?". We can email your question to the many people who are signed up to offer information, tips and advice.
Other Community Networks
There are many social media groups set up by and for people in the SMA Community. You can find contact details for some of them here.
