Who's In The Team
Our research team publish regular updates, for example on the latest results from any clinical trials of drugs being investigated for the treatment of SMA, or the latest research into the effects of diet and exercise on SMA. The team is made up of:
- Vanessa Christie-Brown: Research Coordinator (Vanessa's main employment is as SMA Europe Coordinator - she works up to one day a week for SMA UK)
- Dr Alex Murphy: Clinical Care Research Correspondent
(Alex fulfils his commitments to us on top of his full-time employment)
- Dr James Sleigh: Scientific Research Correspondent
(James fulfills his commitments to us on top of being a full-time laboratory researcher).
Research Coordinator
This role enables us to keep track of any of our research-related activities, such as research funding and research-related events.
Clinical Care Research Correspondent
This role was established in 2015 to keep you up-to-date with clinical care research findings.
Scientific Research Correspondent
This was our first research-related role, established in 2011 to keep you up-to-date with the latest scientific research findings.
