James is a research scientist at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, University College London, and he runs a laboratory that studies neuromuscular diseases like SMA. The main aim of the Sleigh Laboratory is to improve understanding of what goes wrong in diseases that affect peripheral nerves, including motor neurons, so that they can develop effective, gene and molecular therapies.
As the Scientific Research Correspondent for SMA UK, James helps to keep you up to date on clinical trials for SMA and some of the latest developments in SMA research.
