Ros is a consultant in Neuromuscular Disease based at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square. She has a particular interest in managing adolescents and young adults and she set up the Neuromuscular complex care centre to provide a holistic service for people with neuromuscular conditions including SMA. She is chair of the council for the British Myology Society and has been a joint co-ordinating editor for Cochrane Neuromuscular.

She played an integral role in establishing the Spinraza and Risdiplam treatment programs at her hospital. She has an active research portfolio including therapeutic clinical trials and has worked closely with SMAUK for many years.’
