After graduating, Liz trained and worked as a social worker in the UK. When she moved to New Zealand she worked in paediatrics, an Early Intervention Centre and at a nationwide Disability Rights charity. Returning to the UK in 2011, she joined SMA UK as the Support Team Manager. From 2016 – 2022 much of her time was focused on advocating for access to treatments.

From 2019 Liz’s work has focused on Information Production for the charity and she now works with Libby as an Information & Support Coordinator. Jointly they work with SMA community, clinical networks, Research Correspondents, partner charities, regulatory authorities and pharmaceutical  companies to produce the SMA-related information you find on our website.
