Whistleblowing is the reporting of suspected wrongdoing. Anyone should ‘whistleblow’ if they have a concern that someone in a caring or support role, or in a position of trust, is in some way abusing their position.
If you have a concern that the actions of a staff member, volunteer or trustee are putting someone in danger or at risk – for example they are ignoring a medical emergency or causing injury or harm – act straightaway. Call 999 for emergency services.
