30-year-old entrepreneur Josh Wintersgill and 18 year old business management student, Maxwell McKnight who both have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, will race each other up Mount Snowdon (or Yr Wyddfa in Welsh) on Saturday 15th June to raise £100K for SMA UK.

The #KnowNoBounds mission is to raise awareness of the need to make the outdoors more accessible for people with disabilities and to raise funds for mobility devices that support accessing the outdoors.

The campaign is being supported by SMA UK, Lifestyle and Mobility, Sunrise Medical and JOST Explore.

Update: 14th June

The #Knownobounds campaign has had amazing support, receiving donations of over £38,000 so far, including £25,000 from easyJet founder, Sir Stelios who is a big supporter.

Sadly, Joshua Wintersgill has been admitted to hospital in recent days and will be completing the race in coming weeks, to beat Maxwell’s time. He has led the campaign and was adamant that this important event must continue and is testament to his spirt and determination in overcoming obstacles and challenges. The race is being supported by teams of volunteers on the day of around 30 people.
