We’re delighted to share the news that we have been selected to take part in the BBC Radio 4 Appeal Broadcast this August, SMA Awareness Month.

Our appeal will first broadcast on Sunday 20th August and be available to listen to worldwide.

The appeal will air at the following times:

Sunday 20th August 7:54am
Sunday 20th August 9:25pm
Thursday 24th August 3:27pm

It will also be available to listen to all week online via the BBC website and the BBC Sounds app.

Matt Chorley, Times journalist and broadcaster is presenting our appeal. Matt has two cousins living with SMA and is a long term support of SMA UK’s work.

Matt says, “SMA UK is a really important charity to me, they have been supporting families for nearly 40 years offering much needed advice and information when families are navigating a new diagnosis as well as running support networks that give people living with SMA a space to ask questions and share experiences of living with a rare condition.

Funding allows SMA UK to continue their work and will enable them to support more families like mine into the future. ”
