Following the success of the sports at the Big Weekend, we’re excited to invite the SMA community to a brand-new Sports Picnic at Belle Vue Sports Village, Kirkmanshulme Lane, Manchester. We’ve teamed up with Goals Beyond Grass to trial a sports day for the whole community!

Join us for a fun-filled day with all the usual picnic favourites, plus wheelchair football and boccia activities throughout the day.

Each ticket provides entry for up to five people. To help us plan the best experience, please provide as much information as possible about those attending.

Enjoy tea, coffee, soft drinks, and light refreshments, along with a variety of children’s entertainment. Families are encouraged to bring their own picnics, relax, and spend quality time with the SMA UK team and members of the community.

Date & Time: Saturday 1st August from 11:00 – 16:00

Location: Belle Vue Sports Village, Kirkmanshulme Lane, Manchester, M12 4TF

How to join: Register online and bring your booking confirmation on the day (phone or print). Attendance is free for people with SMA, their immediate family, carers, and bereaved families.

What to Bring: Picnic lunch (optional), any specialist equipment, weather-appropriate items for outdoor space.

Photography may take place during the event. Let us know if you prefer not to be included. Children must be supervised by a parent or carer at all times.
