This page lists the Regional Neuromuscular Centres (RNMCs) for adults and children across the UK. Some offer specialist care as an RNMC, but don’t offer treatment. They will, however, be linked with a treatment centre.
If you are not in touch with an RNMC, you should either:
- contact the centre where you received care previously or
- contact your nearest centre or
- ask your GP to make a referral to your nearest RNMC.
Some people who were diagnosed a long time ago may not have had a confirmed diagnosis of 5q SMA via an SMN1 gene deletion test. They should discuss genetic testing with the clinical team.
