How quickly will I hear if I have a grant?

We will let you know we have received your application. Decisions are made quickly.

Can I apply for the grant and then buy the item myself?

No. When you apply, we ask you to tell us what you want to buy. You need to send us any quotes.   the item required in your application, together with quotes, and we will pay the supply directly on your behalf.

Can I use this grant to loan equipment?

No, this grant scheme doesn’t cover loans.

Can I apply for a grant if I have already bought the item?

No, we cannot pay for items you have already bought.

Can I apply for this and other SMA UK grants at the same time?

You may make an application for this grant and Flexi Grant 1 > once a year.

You can make an application to the SMART Moves Fund > once a year.

Each application must be for something different. Each Grant has its own criteria.
