My name is Sanah Rauf, I’m 27 years old and have SMA Type 2. I’m an artist and content creator on Instagram and TikTok!

I have graduated from university where I studied Film and TV and I now sell my artwork, facilitate Art Workshops and do public speaking at events. I also love spending time in nature, reading and creating.  

Living with SMA has been a difficult journey, from grieving the abilities I used to have to now accepting my current situation. The main thing I have learnt is that my physical strength is not the most important thing. It’s my mental strength and my belief in myself to go and achieve my goals and make myself proud. Nothing can stop you. Go and achieve your dreams!  

I am delighted to be a SMA UK Ambassador and I hope to inspire the younger generation of people with SMA to becoming fearless and to believe in themselves. I will be helping out with the podcasting and in person events as well as raising awareness through my various social media channels.
