Ross is 44 and has SMA Type 2 and therefore has a good understanding of growing up and living with the disability.  He has been a friend of the charity throughout his life, and recently has supported many podcasts.  He mentors his friend Maxwell McKnight who also lives with SMA Type 2.

Ross works has worked for Lloyds Banking Group for 23 years and for the past decade has worked within their disability function where he was previously responsible for workplace. Adjustments and now leads on inclusive and accessible workplaces.  He also has several external positions both paid in voluntary support in organisations like Gatwick Airport, Permobil and Liverpool FC where he assists their work with disabled people.

He was also most recently recognised in the 2023 Power 100 as the 2nd most influential disabled person in business and finance. Away from work, Ross is a huge Liverpool fan and follows them home and away.
