Though 5q SMA also includes Type 4, the treatments described in these pages are currently only funded by the NHS for Types 1, 2 and 3.
The section covering who may have access applies to adults living in England (which is why we have put this in the title of the guide), but this guidance is also followed in Wales and Northern Ireland.
